E-Coat: High-Performance Anti-Corrosion Protection
Uniform and complete coverage even in hard-to-reach cavities for maximum durability.
E-Coat is a high-performance anti-corrosion electrodeposition coating for coils and metal components. Uniform coverage, maximum durability and resistance in extreme environments.
What is E-Coat?
E-Coat (cathodic immersion electrodeposition) is an industrial anti-corrosion coating process where electrically charged epoxy paint particles deposit uniformly onto conductive metal surfaces. The result is a continuous and homogeneous film, even in hard-to-reach areas and complex surfaces, ensuring protection against corrosion, wear and aggressive environments.
How Does the E-Coat Process Work?
Inspection and Cleaning
The part is verified and cleaned to ensure ideal adhesion.
Double Rinse and Preparation
The metal is rinsed before entering the electrodeposition tank.
Cathodic Electrodeposition
Positively charged paint particles migrate toward the negatively charged metal part.
Uniformity Inspection
Complete coverage is verified with no defects.
Thermal Curing
The epoxy film hardens for maximum resistance.
UV Topcoat (Optional)
Additional protection against solar radiation.
This specialized process guarantees uniform encapsulation of the entire coil, including fin edges, without bridging between them.
Key Benefits
Uniform Coverage Without Bridging
The coating is applied continuously even on complex geometries, reaching interior zones and difficult edges.
Maximum Anti-Corrosion Protection
High resistance to saline, corrosive, acid and alkaline environments; tested with ASTM B117 for thousands of hours.
Extended Equipment Lifespan
Coated equipment can last up to 4–5 times longer than uncoated ones.
Low Impact on Thermal Efficiency
Less than 1% reduction in thermal performance after E-Coat application.
Key Applications
HVAC/R coils and serpentines
Industrial heat exchangers
Power plants, refineries and treatment plants
Equipment exposed to marine or high-humidity urban environments
E-Coat is compatible with metals such as aluminum, copper and stainless steel, offering excellent adhesion and flexibility.
